Exactly, like how "Elfen Lied" means "Elven Song". I don't know if the German language has any actual relevance to the events of the anime of the latter name, but it might be a reference to the paintings of Gustav Klimt if the title sequence is any indication, and no elves are included.
Elfen Lied was a great anime too....lol also no elves were involved in the anime either.
